Windows 7 users files, folders, such as basic computer file system, and you know the drive letters. But you may not be aware of this, Windows Explorer Which word in every sense of the contents of your PC to explore the application in the Windows shell in certain places hard drives, specifically on certain types of data to work with the shell-structured hierarchy and vibrant physical places outside. Previous versions of Windows, this place called the special shell folders, and My Documents, My Pictures and My Music, including such transactions.
In Windows 7, the special shell folders still exist, the species, but now they are just normal folders inside your home folder can be found (usually in C: \ \ Users \ your user name). You can still manually copy documents to My Documents, as you did in Windows XP and copy photos to My Pictures. But in Windows 7, the former special Shell Folders aren’t very accessible, because they’ve actually been replaced by something called Libraries.
To view the folders in your home directory in Windows 7, open the Start menu and click on your username at the top right. The Explorer window with the contents of your home folder is opened.
Instead of the My Documents folder, you’ll usually access to documents of the library. The My Pictures folder is replaced by the Pictures Library. And so on. Like libraries, and, therefore, virtual folders, are central to the whole shell and user experience, we want a step back for half and explore virtual folders.
Overview About Windows 7 Virtual Folders
At the beginning of the development life cycle of a number of Windows Vista, Microsoft started talking up a new file management system based on the construction of a new user interface called a virtual folder. As the name suggests, virtual folders are a kind of special folder, which does not itself represent a physical package as the file “real” folder. You may recall that we call the build folders and, in particular Shell Folders do not actually correspond to separate sites, Shell namespace. That is, they are, what we might call the real or physical folders.
Virtual folders are not the same as the actual folders. They’re not even really folders at all, even though they appear to contain the files and folders. Actually, virtual folders, files that describe (or appear to contain), symbolic links, or shortcuts to real files and folders. And so that the virtual folders are created may surprise you: they’re really just a physical manifestation of a file search. That’s right: Virtual folders contain the search query results are presented in such a way that virtually (ahem) real distinguishable from the display folder.
We know. It sounds confusing. But the days of daily use, virtual folders work almost exactly like regular folders. We’ll describe the differences and the very real benefits to libraries only for a moment.
