Win 7 Tips | Win 7 Performance | Win 7 Tweak

Microsoft Windows series new operating system Win 7’s most talented yet been created, an unprecedented collection of useful application software and an impressive technique and an elegant user interface. Of course, Win 7 only software, so it’ is not perfect, and depending on their needs or wishes to make her own Win 7 may prefer to customize and more comfortable for your day to provide an environment – for daily work. This section to personalize and customize the way Microsoft offers a collection of latest operating system.

Almost always to personalize and customize, or, heaven forbid, with words such as Windows, Microsoft can expect’s used car Registry Editor tweak most controversial, is to raise its ugly head. Well, we’re not going his way. Not many of the archaic and mysterious life in the depths of Windows Intestines to investigate the caves around the clock on your academic life to waste a part of this book that short. And just as you’t need a car to know how an internal combustion engine is running, but there’s ways to make their own Registry Editor Win 7 as there is an old car without recourse. You’re going to customize Win 7 smart way!

The Win 7 User Interface

Although Microsoft has improved Windows user interface in ways both subtle and profound in Win 7, that is not’t mean it’s full of boxes. All’s needs and wants are different, and fortunately, the Microsoft Win 7 engineered in such a way that you can set the system to your wishes. This section describes some of the ways in which you can tame Win 7 interface and make it your own.

Customizing the Start Menu

Win 7 Start menu is a further development of the Start menu, which debuted in Windows XP and it gives a much smarter user interface to interact with programs, documents and other content on the PC than did the Start menus of previous Windows versions.

Win 7 Start menu is divided into several logical areas, each covering specific functions.

These areas include the following:

Defeated items: Found in the upper left corner of the Start menu, this area contains shortcuts that are permanently displayed, no matter how often you use them. Unlike Windows Vista, there is no defeated shortcuts displayed by default in Win 7th

Most Recently Used (MRU) list: Here include most of the left side of the Start Menu window is a list of the programs you use most often. Algorithm Microsoft uses to determine this list is definitely hokey because it gives priority to a program you have just used instead of one that you use regularly every day. Furthermore, not’t take into account the applications that were not launched from the Start menu at all.

All Programs: This link shows the All Programs list, a combination of the shortcuts are stored in your user profile’s Start Menu folder structure and the public account’s Start Menu folder structure. Unlike Windows XP, the list All programs in the Start menu window instead of turning up in a separate, difficult to navigate cascading menu.

Start Menu Search: Probably the biggest features of Windows in more than a decade, and easily the best feature film from the Start menu, Start Menu, allows you to search easily and quickly find any application, agent, document, e-mail, contacts, or browse other object. It’s magic, and love it.

User photo: Here you can see the picture that the user set when creating your user account. Changes to a different system icons as you drag links to the right side of the Start menu.

Links: This is a list of important points system that Microsoft think that you need regularly. These include such things as special shell folders (Documents, music) Following com. Shel l sites (Computer games), setting (Control Panel, Default Programs), and aid and technical assistance.

Sleep / off: In the lower right part of t s menu are two buttons, the right-most of them include cascading pop-up menu with various power management and shutdown-related options. These two buttons are configured differently by default, depending on your system’s power-message. (Can be prepared as described in chapter

Most of the old arrangements are made in the taskbar and Start Menu dialog. You can view this dialogue as clicking the Start button (sometimes called the Start Orb) and click Properties. Related Dialogue, Custom Start menu is displayed when you click Custom Settings.

Windows 7 Start Menu is a full-featured, but you may decide to adapt it to ft your needs. Here are some of our favorites on the Start menu tweaks.

A brief introduction of Custom Libraries in Win 7

Microsoft introduce in Win 7 Custom Libraries in his new operating system. Custom libraries are a great feature in win 7. In this win 7 tips we explain how you can customize this win 7 feature and use this feature in more efficient way.

How Creating Custom Libraries in Win 7

In Microsoft’s new operating system, Win 7 contains four standard library, all handles some content like documents, music, photos or videos. These libraries are likely to offer enough variety for most users, but advanced users may be interested in creating their own libraries with their own. It’s unlikely that you’ll need to create your own library for a particular type of content, but it’s easy to see why you might want to create your own library for special projects, or for specific groups of content that you \ would like to keep separate from the Standard Libraries for some reason.

Imagine for example that Javed and Ali are working on a book called, say, Win 7 tips. Sure, we can arrange the working files for this book in a folder found inside the My Documents folder, and accessed via the Document Library. But since we’re will have access to these files as often, it might be worthwhile to create a win 7 tips library for this purpose. Then there would always be one click away: we could access it via the Windows Explorer shortcut on the taskbar or from the library section in the navigation pane of the Explorer.

To create a new library, open library window and click the New Library button in the toolbar. A new library item is displayed with a generic icon library, you can give this library a reasonable name, you’d like as you can with an ordinary folder.

Win 7 Tip: For the new library appears in the libraries list in Windows Explorer navigation pane.

When navigating in this virgin Library, you’ll see that you need to monitor, or at least a folder before it will be useful. Windows will ask you about this with an Include a folder button. Click the button and then navigate to the folder you’d want to include and repeat if necessary. Don’t forget that you can contain multiple folders in one library.

In Organize & Manage your files & Folders we discussed, and now how can you organized your files & folders in Windows 7 Libraries.

The first thing to understand is that while the typical special shell folders. My Documents, My Music, My Pictures and My Videos are still present in Windows 7, the inside of your user folder, you will rarely need or want to access them directly. Instead, you will work with content types are stored in these folders through Windows 7’s new library.

Think about how you might typically access My Documents in Windows XP: there’s a very handy My Documents link right there in the Start menu. In Windows Vista, it was called Documents. Well, Windows 7 has a Documents link in the Start menu too. But when you click on that link, the window that opens displays the Documents library, not the (My) Documents folder, as was the case in previous versions. Ditto for Pictures, Music, and Videos.

Each of the built-in Libraries in Windows 7 can be quickly accessed via the Windows Explorer shortcut that’s pinned to the taskbar. When you click this shortcut, the Libraries view opens in Windows Explorer.

Because Libraries aren’t really folders, there are a few additional concepts to understand about this change: yes, Libraries do effectively replace special shell folders in that you access them from the Windows Start menu. And yes, when you save and open files via virtually any application, you’ll do so via the various Libraries that Windows 7 provides. There’s just one thing: these Libraries aren’t real places. In fact, they’re simply files them-selves, files that describe the contents of a thing that is presented to the user as a folder or something like a folder.

Windows 7 Review

Useful things about Windows 7 Libraries.

Windows 7 libraries look different than the folder: If you compare the typical window of the library and typical side window folder-by-side, you will see some subtle but important differences. Library includes a header that contains the name of the library and links to Include and organize way.

These links provide access to additional library functionality that we’ll discuss in just a moment. But as important as the user the difference is, it’s equally important to understand that the Header area you see in a library is continuously available when you browse the folders” contains.”You won’t see this header or the access to its functionality, if you open the shell locations via standard folders.

Library collection: Windows and by default, each of the four Libraries that ship 7 Documents, music, pictures and videos, top, or aggregate, two physical locations on your hard disk contents and images in a single location. For example, the My Documents folder in the Documents library (C: \ \ Users \ your name \ My Documents) and the Public Documents folder (C: \ \ Users \ \ Public \ \ Public Documents) content guns. To add a library for content is free, and remove the following folders.

To view or change the ingredients, which are tracked library, click on the link next to the library includes the header, which will, by default, see how the two places. Place the resulting window will print the location of the shell library monitors, the Add button to add a new location for monitoring the Delete button to remove the monitor location, and references to something called the default save location, which we discuss below.

You can add a network resource in the list of places, as well. While it is certainly possible, and recommended that catch. Device or the server housing the proportion should be an index or directory, the files and provide results in Windows 7 to customers on demand. Although this requirement can be easily met on the Windows platform , install the Windows Desktop Search, you may encounter

Windows Media Player and other applications to use the libraries: in earlier versions of Windows Media Player, you can set the default folders to use the player to control the content. That’s no longer exists in Windows Media Player 12 Now, the player simply make use of music, images and videos of that content. While some other applications for Windows 7 to use libraries, some do not (at least not yet). Windows Live Photo Gallery, for example, continue to use the Library folder in the pre-control of your own.

Libraries are the basis for Windows 7’s the possibility of network sharing: In previous versions of Windows must be explicitly shared folders that can be accessed by other PCs and compatible devices in the home network. Windows 7 is a lot easier, a new feature called HomeGroups. While discussing HomeGroups in Chapter 9, it’s at least worth mentioning here that four of the five objects that Windows 7 shares through HomeGroups pictures, music, videos and documents are shared through libraries. Yes, you can still share things, old-fashioned way, if you want, but the library, in combination with HomeGroups that sharing easier than ever before.

You can leave the library views in a way that jo’t possible elements: While the Library support group, and Order by the possibility of using the components, but also offers a unique opportunity visualizations called Order which is not offered by traditional components. Sort by we will examine the group, and Arrange.

Windows 7 Review | Windows 7 Features | Windows 7 Tutorials | Windows 7 Secrets

Microsoft Introduce in Windows 7 a new way to organized & manage your files & folders called Windows 7 Libraries. Here we briefly review the windows 7 Library feature and understand how we organized & manage it. With using of this feature you can handle your files & folder more efficient way.

Windows 7 users files, folders, such as basic computer file system, and you know the drive letters. But you may not be aware of this, Windows Explorer Which word in every sense of the contents of your PC to explore the application in the Windows shell in certain places hard drives, specifically on certain types of data to work with the shell-structured hierarchy and vibrant physical places outside. Previous versions of Windows, this place called the special shell folders, and My Documents, My Pictures and My Music, including such transactions.

In Windows 7, the special shell folders still exist, the species, but now they are just normal folders inside your home folder can be found (usually in C: \ \ Users \ your user name). You can still manually copy documents to My Documents, as you did in Windows XP and copy photos to My Pictures. But in Windows 7, the former special Shell Folders aren’t very accessible, because they’ve actually been replaced by something called Libraries.

To view the folders in your home directory in Windows 7, open the Start menu and click on your username at the top right. The Explorer window with the contents of your home folder is opened.

Instead of the My Documents folder, you’ll usually access to documents of the library. The My Pictures folder is replaced by the Pictures Library. And so on. Like libraries, and, therefore, virtual folders, are central to the whole shell and user experience, we want a step back for half and explore virtual folders.

Overview About Windows 7 Virtual Folders

At the beginning of the development life cycle of a number of Windows Vista, Microsoft started talking up a new file management system based on the construction of a new user interface called a virtual folder. As the name suggests, virtual folders are a kind of special folder, which does not itself represent a physical package as the file “real” folder. You may recall that we call the build folders and, in particular Shell Folders do not actually correspond to separate sites, Shell namespace. That is, they are, what we might call the real or physical folders.

Virtual folders are not the same as the actual folders. They’re not even really folders at all, even though they appear to contain the files and folders. Actually, virtual folders, files that describe (or appear to contain), symbolic links, or shortcuts to real files and folders. And so that the virtual folders are created may surprise you: they’re really just a physical manifestation of a file search. That’s right: Virtual folders contain the search query results are presented in such a way that virtually (ahem) real distinguishable from the display folder.

We know. It sounds confusing. But the days of daily use, virtual folders work almost exactly like regular folders. We’ll describe the differences and the very real benefits to libraries only for a moment.
