Microsoft Windows 7 Help on twitter! @MicrosoftHelps?

Microsoft Windows 7 direct technical help available on twitter now!

@MicrosoftHelps?

Real time monitoring for help and support from Microsoft? Support for OEM editions of Windows and Office direct from Redmond? Support for people with pirated copies of Microsoft software? Real time support for Microsoft launched newly operating system windows 7.

If this all seems too good to be true then we’ll sadly just have to wait and see, but Microsoft have now launched a new Twitter account @MicrosoftHelps where they say they’ll monitor support and customer experience requests in real time (office hours presumably) and help people out.

This is the latest in a barrage of recently launched new help and support websites from the Redmond giant including Microsoft Answers and the FixIt website.

I personally find it somewhat ironic that they’re doing it now, when Windows 7 is their most stable operating system ever, and the one that will, if anything, require the least support. Any help and support can only be a good thing though.

How much help can be provided in 140 characters is open to question but I can only applaud Microsoft’s decision to offer this service.

So if you have a Twitter account, if nobody else can help and if you can find them… @MicrosoftHelps stands ready to listen.
